The MistBuster 850 3 Cell 120V Unit pulls contaminated air directly from the CNC machine enclosure and channels it through a high-voltage ionization stage, where mist and smoke particles become electrically charged. These charged particles are then captured on oppositely charged collector plates inside the unit. Once cleaned, the purified air is either recirculated back into the workspace or exhausted outside, depending on the system design.

Principles of Operation: Polluted air is drawn through the first stage mechanical mist impingers. These impingers are designed to remove larger mist droplets and particles. The remaining sub-micron mist droplets and particles are removed in the third, fourth, and fifth stages through the process of electrostatic precipitation (ESP). The ESP provides an intense electrical charge on the remaining contaminants through the ionizing field.
