SmogHog SG, PSG, and SHN Ionizer Wires are thin, high-voltage wires inside the electrostatic precipitator that create the electrical charge needed to clean the air. As contaminated air passes through the unit, the ionizer wires emit a strong electrical field that charges the particles (smoke, mist, or dust). Once charged, those particles are then attracted to and captured by the collector plates farther downstream.
